Chelsea DeNofa is becoming a household name in drifting, especially out here in Texas. Chelsea and his BMW are quite known around these parts and even nation wide previously competing in D1 Grand Prix USA, NOPI drift events, and Winning the 2010 XDC season not long ago. This past weekend here in Texas, there was a drift clinic held by Drift Alliance members, Ryan Tuerck and Tony Angelo, at the Mineral Wells Airport. This was a two day event where drivers could seek guidance from the professionals and gain knowledge and skill, as well as get a chance to tandem the course with them. Aaron Losey of Fabricated Motorsports coordinated this event and made arrangements to get the pros down here and it made for an awesome weekend.

In preparation for the Lone Star Drift “The Series”, here is a video from the Fabricated Motorsports Tech Day over at Power Fab Auto where you can watch the cars being dyno’d, a little drift action, and get a chance to get to know some of the drivers!

I’m extremely excited about this event series, and I will be attending and trying to bring you coverage for as many events as I can. This drift series is also a Formula Drift Pro-Am series awarding the first through third place finishers a Formula Drift license!

Texas locals listen up. Fabricated Motorsports is putting on a cash prize drift event down in Houston at Gulf Greyhound Park. Whether you want to drive or just attend and watch, I encourage you all to come! There hasn’t been a FM event that I haven’t had fun at! Since my move to Texas, it’s primarily been a depressing, boring stay here. Cows across the street, rednecks in retarded trucks, and horrendous thick southern accents. Luckily the Texas drift scene and the friends I’ve made while attending events have been my saving grace.
