Today I got the chance to go out to Summit point located in WV, to see a small scale pro am drift event. This was my first time ever seeing drifting in person and I was pretty impressed with some of the drivers that competed in today’s event. Although I left before the end of the competition I was able to get these shots.

Waterfest is the largest VW/Audi Car Show and Motorsport event in North America, and the second largest of its kind in the world. Waterfest, now in its 17th year is a two-day event held at the world-class Raceway Park facility in Englishtown, New Jersey.

Who doesn’t like a car that’s as low as it is bright? Vinny picked up this GLI back in April of 2009. The car went through a few transitional phases; one being slammed on coilovers, and the most recent being on air suspension to go lower and have more control over the car.

Performance mods include: APR Stage 2, APR rear sway bar, Forge DV, BSH intake, Hawk pads, Magnaflow exhaust, and an APR downpipe.

Patrick, who is better known on the forums as PVPMK, owns what is easily one of my favorite MKVI’s to date. It’s simple, it’s clean, and puts the majority of the current MKVI scene to shame. It’s currently sporting AMG wheels, a US spec front bumper, air suspension including Easy Street Autopilot management, Dectane D-LITE black headlights, leather interior, and a re trimmed headliner and pillars.
