You’ll Schmidt Your Pants When You See Tufty’s MK2…
What began life as a blue MK2 G60 Edition One was eventually ripped apart and rebuilt after being imported from Germany in 1999. The engine went to UK tuners Jabba Sport to get an overhaul and charger rebuild, while the body went off to get a full respray in Audi Jupiar Red. This wasn’t the last of the changes from this Northern Ireland dubber….

Back in 2003 when Tufty’s car hit the VW scene it was one of many ultimate “British look” Dubs. Originally lowered on 17″ OZ wheels and a G60 engine built by both Jabba Sport and Dubsport (Dubbing Legends), the car went on to take front cover of PVW in March 2003.

Since 2003, the styling cues have moved from “Brit look” to a traditional European styling motif. The OZ shoes were swapped with Schmidts and then changed again. The next set, BBS RM’s, boasted a stout 8.5″ wide wheel up front and 9.5″ wide rears which truly made this car stand out (no pun intended) for it’s time.

Within the last two years the car has undergone significant work and it plans to make another statement in the Summer of 2010. Plans include a nicely tuned R32 motor, a new interior, more paint and some cleaned up body work.
We anxiously await Tufty’s plans and look forward to future updates.
