Submitted on: January 17, 2010 2 Comments

Doing his part along side Snoop and Dr. Dre, Jared Schmoyer is only a few weeks away from getting his custom 1964 (“six four”) Chevy Impala back on the streets. The Burnt Orange paint from PPG has so much metallic flake that it causes small children to have seizures.

Six Four Impala

Specs:
PPG Burnt Orange Prismatique Tri-Coat/ Pearl White
327 small block Chevy
350 turbo hydromatic transmission
10 switches (Hydraulics)
2 prohopper pumps/ 4 dumps/ 8 Interstate deep cycle batteries
13″ player wire wheels
14″ rear cylinders/ 10″ front
3 ton cut hopping springs

Here’s what went down last night as the color matched small block was threaded back into place.

Thanks to Matt for stopping by and taking some photos (Dave too… I think he held the transmission for a minute or two :-) )I hope to have this car up and running soon, as it has been out of commission for 4+ years! To this day, I have people coming up to me asking me where my car is and if I sold it and I have no clue who they are!

While my family builds cars to our taste and ideas, it makes us happy to know that others appreciate our work and remember us. Thanks for the support and interest!

Please visit our temporary photobucket site for samples of work we have done on our customers cars and motorcycles, which are treated as if they are our own! http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g270/lowsixfo64/Paint%20Work/ (click albums on left hand side)
