Round 2 of the Lone Star Series is now in the books as it wrapped up a few weeks ago out in Mineral Wells, TX. Who doesn’t like a car that’s as low as it is bright? Vinny picked up this GLI back in April of 2009. The car went through a few transitional phases; one being slammed on coilovers, and the most recent being on air suspension to go lower and have more control over the car.

Performance mods include: APR Stage 2, APR rear sway bar, Forge DV, BSH intake, Hawk pads, Magnaflow exhaust, and an APR downpipe.

Patrick, who is better known on the forums as PVPMK, owns what is easily one of my favorite MKVI’s to date. It’s simple, it’s clean, and puts the majority of the current MKVI scene to shame. It’s currently sporting AMG wheels, a US spec front bumper, air suspension including Easy Street Autopilot management, Dectane D-LITE black headlights, leather interior, and a re trimmed headliner and pillars. I’m sure I missed some parts in there somewhere, but you get the gist of it!

Though I haven’t owned a Euro car in a while, ever since I moved out to Texas I try to keep in touch with old friends and make new ones by attending the regular meets.
